وحذّر هؤلاء المتطرفون من أن التصويت للأحزاب العربية سيؤدي بجميع الإسرائيليين اليهود إلى سماع هذا الأذان لخمس مرات يومياً، وهو ما يجب التصدّي له ووقفه على الفور، حسب ادّعائهم. اللافت أن بعضاً من سكان الحي هاجموا بن آري ومارزال، ووجهوا لهما انتقاداتٍ قويةً بسبب هذا السلوك العنصري، مؤكدين رفضهم هذا السلوك.
من جانبه، قال يوسف شداد رئيس تحرير موقع صحيفة "كل العرب" الإسرائيلية، باللغة العربية عبر الإنترنت من خلال صفحته على الفيسبوك "ليس غريباً على مَن مزق الإنجيل قبل شهور عدة، مواصلة هذه الأساليب الحقيرة محاولاً إشعال الفتيل الطائفي".
جديرٌ بالذكر أن بن آري قام منذ أشهر عدة بتمزيق الإنجيل وألقاه بالقمامة، في إشارةٍ إلى رفضه ما سمّاه بعض السياسات التي ينتهجها العرب المسيحيون في إسرائيل.
